I own Forte II's with Crites rebuilt crossovers, Ti tweeters & Ti mids. Bob Crites recommends a band pass for the Ti midrange. Overall, I'm very happy with the sound as is. Although there does seem to be a little too much energy in the upper midrange. Which can make things sound a little harsh sometimes. The cost for the Crites band pass is $100. $100 isn't that much and it may make a nice improvement. Or am I better off buying the ALK networks? I don't have the skills to build these myself, so I'd have to pay someone. The cost for the ALK's would be about $350. Is the ALK that much better than the Crites rebuilt crossover, plus the bandpass?
