Good for you! I was starting to wonder if my replacement for Photobucket image hosting was working. IOW - if you guys were just seeing dead icons or http crud. I'll have another cute WLS / Third Booth item that I'll post this afternoon (Thurs).

SRC = Scott Richard Case. I lived a couple of miles from this mysterious venue. Never heard of it. And I was a cool kid - one of the coolest in town (if memory serves). Dunn's Tomb? Been there. The Screen? Been there. Silverbell was a dirt road whose only claim to fame was a great abandoned gravel pit we used to swim in and occasionally get chase out of by the Oakland County Sheriff. Bald Mountain was a road that went to nowhere (or Lake Orion if you got lost). WHO KNEW !!!!

And on our side of the Pacific, these guys were putting a band together at The Villawood Migrant Hostel in Sydney. George Young's brothers went on and formed a little band called AC/DC with a lot of his help. It always makes me smile with the Easybeats clips, there's this tall lanky Dutch blonde towering over a diminutive Scottish rhythm guitarist.
My favourite song "Sorry' is on this album and the lo-fi recording is awful, which is part of the charm. Basically sounds like a guy singing with a overdriven guitar and a guy tapping some cymbals. Drum and bass seem to been have left out of the mix. Early Beatles singles seem the same. I suppose they made them mainly for AM.

Great material! From this side of the Pacific "Friday On My Mind" was the big breakout hit. And the cool psychedelic "raga" guitar made them seem like the idols of garage bands everywhere - The Yardbirds. So they come over here to tour. Ouch! Somebody booked them as American recording stars supporting a Gene Pitney Tour. At least they didn't sing something called "My Mammy".
So I guess they soldiered on for a while, and then this:
I don't know what the rules were but maybe they could have crossed over into Canada and from there set up quickie bookings at US venues in Detroit, Chicago, etc. Speaking of raga -
