What with the one glove on each member of the Music Machine? Must of been their "gimmick".
Palm muting would have been a bitch. Bass player has the glove on his fret hand on the second clip..

I remember that guy from the Kanga Kiwi thread. So this morning on The 60's Syringe they play this trippy garage tune and when I saw what it was I thought no way cuz of the guy's haircut. But sure enough - maybe he told his dad to get off his case. I just ignored my dad - that irritated him even more.

Well what really happened - in fairness to the loyal contributors - was that the thread got misinterpreted as "What are you Listening To Right Now? - in your garage". With several pages of fine "right side of the dial" FM fare rapidly appended to the thread and growing by the minute.
It had drifted so far off its moorings that it had to be scuttled. So in the reboot there's an emphasis and an effort to reveal what is intended by the term "garage". Historical context (including retro references / inspirations), the "teen" experience (no egg-head prog or old-hippie "heavy" stuff - instead there's the deliberate targeting of, and access by, the "next" generation, notice the venues that have age limits and no alcohol).
And regionality (are there bands from your neck of the woods?), and, of course, emulation of the emerging bands of 1965 / 1966 like the Rolling Stones (Paint It Black era) and the Yardbirds (Shapes era), with a sincere attitude to be real breakout stars (no fake "punk" posturing, nobody actually WANTED to be punks - they were losers). So put this all in a big mix and shake it up and you have garage.

Legend has it that one of Mick Jagger's uncles was in the Royal Navy and jumped ship during the celebrations following the sinking of the Graf Spee. Perhaps. And perhaps this Uruguayan / Argentinian band has appeared on one of the "Pebbles" garage compilations - but I haven't been able to find it.
