Cheers mate, was going for home jazz kissa and imported it from Japan. I love it. I've had the occasional wave of second guessing a vacuum unit, but man does it work! Like, maybe I get a 91L, but love love love this thing. With the Denon DL-103R, whoo boy.

Likewise Optonica RP-3636 w/ Micro Seki made 10” arm, PPG DL_103R w/ ruby 7x80 retip through a Denon AU-320 SUT and Schiit Skol. Endgame vinyl SQ for stupid cheep. Whoo boy is right. FWIW the bespoke SUT for the 103 blows away the Skol on mc.

In my case I’m going through a Luxman AS-4iii passive rca switchbox direct to my stand-in Denon PMA-1700NE phono stage. It handles MM and MC very well indeed. Surprisingly great for a modern amp at the price point.

Not as good as the Luxman L-580 however, for which I impatiently wait to come back from a sympathetic restoration. Soon enough. For now this Denon continues to impress me.

The BL-99VW came from factory with the SAEC WE-407/TM. Bloody work of art. More Jazz record photos tonight go get the thread back on track.
