Hey Punker. Great album. I usually play this back to back with Tina Brooks True Blue. The sessions went down within a week of each other, with Brooks, Hub and Sam Jones playing on both. If you haven't done so yet, give it a try.

When my wife and I were getting to know each other this little ditty was one I used to introduce her to my musical interests. When played these days it gets that knowing look in the eyes and a fond smile as we both remember that time.

I have a huge respect for these anthologies. Riverside’s catalog was so extensive that these wee “no brainers” , that said loads of good music to be found.
Sounds are not the greatest, there's still some cool stuff to hear. Jimmy Blanton gets some good licks in.Don’t have this. Will have to look into it.
I'll buy these as seen, just a couple so for. Whoever was pickin the tunes & the artists did a great job, no stinkers.I have a huge respect for these anthologies. Riverside’s catalog was so extensive that these wee “no brainers” , that said loads of good music to be found.
