Today's JAZZ playlist

If there is a worse album cover, you will need to name it or show us. The music is so great but there is no reason to believe so hahaha.

Hi Pop! Don Ewell is new to me. I couldn’t find the exact album you shared, but I picked up some of his other work and am thoroughly enjoying this one. The quartet plays so intimately and really engages the listener with their rhythmic style. Thanks for sharing the recommendation!

Thanks again, Pop! ❤️ I’ve been a bit irregular with my music lately and haven’t had much time for our beloved forum either. I have quite a few George Barnes albums on Qobuz and am really enjoying this one. Thanks for introducing me to George Barnes and always pointing me toward such wonderful jazz. Much appreciated, my friend!

BTW, have you heard from Billy Batts? I haven’t seen him around for ages. Such a good soul—I really miss him and hope he’s doing well!

Sounds are not the greatest, there's still some cool stuff to hear. Jimmy Blanton gets some good licks in.
I checked the Discogs listing and I’ve got the complete Fargo show, it’s the balance of 3-5 tracks that I’m not sure I have. I’m on the road now and can’t hurt the collection. So I’ll just let it slide for now.
