I just got my Toshiba DX-900 PMC Audio VCR back the repair shop. I bought it for $5 a couple months ago in working condition. Not sure how I plan to use it. jcb of Neb

Looks like a pretty rad deck! I'm toying with the idea of using a VHS deck for recording audio. The problem is that I don't get good radio where I'd hook it up and I can't think of anything else I'd record to it.

Besides using it as a video player and recorder. You can record music on the tape to I think.

VHS Hi-Fi, good sounding, not archival or reliable and the mandatory companders used can sometimes have audible artifacts. PCM can be good but not every Digital Audio system using VCR for storage is identical format. EIAJ PCM is the only real standard used for PCM Audio on video recorders.

This is a slightly different VHS HiFi recorder as it has a built in PCM audio processor for Digital audio recording. VHS HiFi is not Digital.
