Thank you. As you indicated, Toyota's "Platinum" line is their TOTL with trucks. It is only exceeded by the "1794 Edition" Tundra. I didn't care for the color choices for the 1794.
Anyway, the Avalon I owned was from 2013, so pretty dated compared to the Tundra.

Sad that your dealership and some others resorts to feeding BS to the customer. Good thing the dealer I got my info from was a close friend of mine, no need for him to lie to me.

meh. think that if you want......I've seen the insides or several dealers. All the same. It's not a lie, it's a tactic that they use to make sales. They just want you in the door.

Anyways, this is all going sideways so I'm out.

That's not the case in my area, dealers are actively searching for 2nd generation Tundra trucks that they can put on their lot and sell for a profit. They want low mileage examples, but they will most certainly put one that has 150k or more on their lot if it is in good condition.

One of my long time customers keeps this LC in her garage, she bought it new and drove it until 2003 when she bought a new Tundra, she replaced the '03 Tundra with the 2018 Tundra that she is driving today. The old Land Cruiser doesn't get driven much and everyone that sees it tries to buy it... the dealer has even contacted her about selling it. NO SALE.

You made far too many assumptions in your initial post to me sir, and now you assume I've never seen the insides of other dealerships? I suppose that's your right to do so. Enjoy!

Over the past 4 decades, I've owned
three Camrys, one buried in sand after an ocean flood
a Lexus SC400, a rear wheel drive not good in snow
a RAV4, basically a truck
and two Priuses.
The Prius is the only one for me- unbelievably good- reliable, comfortable, safe, spacious, excellently-engineered, low maintenance and economical.

Do you have the new Prius? I hear it's quite improved over the older models.

Not so much a preference, but considering it an upgrade. As I said, to me it looks like a lateral move. Maybe I'll get one too when I start a pool cleaning or lawn mowing business. Sadly, it is nearly impossible to find a single cab with a decent-sized bed.
 
My 2003 4Runner with 1GR-FE 4.0 V6 engine. 245hp is more than enough to stay out of trouble on the freeways.
