Transistor Substitutes please - AKAI AM-2200 2SB560 2SD438

Hi, I see you did help someone with a transistor substitute. I have a Sansui QRX-9001 and I would like to replace 2 transistors on my Power Circuit which are: 2SD356 and 2SB560 ... any help is very much appreciated. Thank you

The 2SD356 is an early Mitsubishi. You can directly substitute a 2SD600 (Sanyo) 2SD1626 (Toshiba) 2SC2275 (NEC-very common) 2SD667 (Hitachi) or a 2SD1382 (Rohm).
It's a 80V@800mA/10W TOP66 you could use a Philips BD232 or BD410.
The 2SB560 is an early Sanyo. Use a 2SA917 (Toshiba), 2SB562 (Mitsubishi), 2SA777 (Matsushita), 2SA1284 (Mitsubishi), 2SB1309 (rohm) will all do the job. As will the ultra common Philips BC-640 you can find almost everywhere. That said, I'd use something with a bit more capability.
It's a 80/100V@800mA 0.8Ptot (W) device.

Data source: Various actual vintage substitution books, data books, (Japanese, EU and US)

I presume these are transistors you are bothered about in the capacitance multiplier? If they are dead, you have other problems and replacing them won't help. What are the symptoms and what have you done to date?

The main datasheet values for comparison, I believe, are Vce, Vcb, Ic, Pd, Hfe and fT ? Are there others that I should really try to match ?
Always cast an eye over the safe operating area (SOA) to make sure the item works at the applied voltage/currents rather than relying on peak values

Hi John,
Thank you for replying. Initially I am trying to get the left side working on 2 channel missing on speakers or headphones. I noticed that I don't have any positive Voltage on pins 3-4 on the see above F-2638 for driver boards instead a small negative value.
Thank you
Marcus

Pin 3 voltages comes from TR601, its possibly failed (or burnt track or...) Try diode test or measure b/c/e dc voltages

Sorry, I forgot to mention that TR601 has the required positive value but after that it’s low negative. Is there something between TR601 and pin 3 ? I didn’t figure it out yet, thank you
