"Tube life" Anxiety Caused By Using My Amplifier

I believe his tube amp is giving out sound from a pair of speakers in his stereo system for music reproduction, not for music making (guitar).

I've used it in other posts, instrument amps tend to guide which are likely to remain available.
The amps using oop Russian milsurp tubes are examples that may become door stops in time.
Curiously, 7199s are oop in spite of being fairly commonly used at one time, I dunno if other compatible tri-pent small signal tubes are in production, ie 6CG8, 6U8, 6AN8, ect.

I guess I missed those posts, as I`ve interfaced with you long enough here, and would have thought to have requested enlightenment previously, if encountered..

practical options are either the tubes that have been made forever, or something that used to be common and now has no use so you can get a bucket load for cheap. Basically TV tubes. Obviously that second one doesn't make sense for a manufacturer, but for DIY its not a big deal.

where you run into trouble are with low production late tube era things that are not made. 8417 tubes anyone?
