turntable broke after transport

hello
so i recently bought new turntable and both seem to brake while transporting
one is like pressed in and the start button won’t come out again and the other one has a broken counterweight-thingy
does anyone know if there’s any way i can fix the pressed in stuff
it’s still working but only on 33rpm
and is there any kind of glue that i could use or should i send it to a professional

for the one with the stuck buttons, fair bet if you open it up and remove the buttons you can re-install them so they aren't jammed. Hopefully its just out of position and not actually broken.

I have no idea what your technical abilities are, so I really can't answer that question.

On the one with the stuck buttons, most likely the bottom cover comes off and access is from under there. Shouldn't have to remove the arm for that. I've never been into this specific model but thats how most turntables come apart.

You might try spraying the button with any electrical contact cleaner if you're going in to take a look.

I agree with the above about the button, shouldn't be too hard.

I would try jbweld for the counterweight shaft, not ideal but it would work.

For the broken tone arm counterweight stub......
You can drill and add a pin and glue it together using super glue and baking soda. For the pin I just sacrifice the same drill bit used to tap the hole. I cut it off with side cutters.

Add a film only of baking soda on the tone arm and ad the glue to the stub. Press together and kt will bond almost instantly. Then run a slight bead around the break perimeter and sprinkle baki g soda. Blow off excess and do not be messy with the glue. Finsh by adding another light bead of glue around the perimeter. Once cured it can be sanded and touched up with a silver paint marker.

I have saved several broken stubs this way.
This is easier than repairing a sagging weight coupled via a rubber interface.
