mid-90s jingle 'nothing else is a pepsi' (in a pepsi kind of way...it's a pepsi kind of day...) loved that song
there was a pretty good Arby's jingle about that time involving 'Western Skies'.
I remember thinking, the two best songs that particular summer were both jingles.

about that time there was a microsoft commercial ("listen...the stuff you are doing...it's powerful", female narrator) with some interesting background music I've never been able to identify.

A few years ago, there was a MasterCard commercial that had a young couple in an Italian courtyard, with about ten million butterflies, that used a 3D stop-motion technique. In the background a female vocalist did a cover of part of the chorus of ONJ's "Let Me Be There". I've been looking for that commercial online to copy it ever since.

Aww, they're ALL treacle, IMHO, compared to the 1979 Ridley Scott Chanel #5 commercial, w/music by Vangelis.
