TX-4500 MKII Value?

I have an Onkyo TX-4500 MKII receiver that's been recently serviced, and is fully functioning. Aside from one little nick on the top edge of the stainless faceplate, the reciever is basically in mint condition. What's a ballpark value of the receiver?

There is such a long list of completed auctions on this unit on the bay, anywhere from 100-295 from there. Probably 150 if you SELL it or 100 is you just want to move it along.
 
Depending on your locale, it might take a while to move for $100 on c/l. Ebay, probably sell quick at that price.
 
Recently serviced is an often used term that has different meanings to different people....deoxit the controls or a recap/repair?
Bias and offset set to spec? Tuner alignment?
A deoxit bath may not add much value, but a recap or tune up might.

Let me rephrase: I had the receiver completely gone through, to the point that it may be considered a low-level restoration.

Sadly that's pretty much meaningless if you sell it locally on craigs. With full documentation you'll do a little better on ebay but it's still an aging middle of the line receiver.
FWIW I had a mint one to (non restored) and I was very happy to move it along locally at $50.

Yeah, I realize that having it restored doesn't add much local monetary value, but I think it would add a little something on eBay, as you said. I still have all the paperwork listing what was done.
 
gadget had a 4500 not sure if it was a II or not that went for something a fair bit less than 100. These are under-loved better performers than the name brands folks here love. We sold them above the comparable Kenwood models.

Folks get all upset, or just curious that the unit does not have an AUX input. I don't have an AUX to plug in so I would never miss it. Onkyo instead provided a Third, yes, 3rd Tape Monitor that is the same electrical specs as an AUX input. I have tape machines.

Yeah, I have heard some folks suggest that not having a designated AUX affects the value, which seems silly, because like you said, it's got triple tape.
 
I paid $175 for mine a couple months ago. Basically mint condition. I thought it was a fair price.

One sold on goodwill auctions a while back for around $250. Which is crazy for an untested unit.
 
My tracking spreadsheet shows an average selling price of $112 for dozens of examples from the big auction site. I would think that $150 would be fair, as most of the units sold for $100 and under have some kind of issue or are not in great condition. These are truly excellent receivers (I own one).
