I'm going to Mammoth Mountain tomorrow with my buddy; I plan to drop the speakers off at his house when I pick him up. They're displacing his black vinyl B&W 601 series 2s; I hope he likes them better.

The 250's IMO are better!:yes: but the 200t3's have cool factor.
Thats why those 20T's are so neat!! They have that cool factor! And you gave it back to them in spades:yes:

So I took the two caps (4 uF and 9uF as I recall) and doubled them with new caps of 8 uF and 18 uF. Then I put another 8 uF cap in series with the first 8 uF cap, and a second 18 in series with the first 18. Then I used the battery to apply a 9v DC (+) current to the junctions between each pair of caps, each going through a separate 3 megohm resistor (squint and you can see the two tiny resistors below, buried in the glue, feeding current to the cap junctions). The stripped green wire went to the battery's positive terminal.
Then I ran the battery's negative terminal to the ground of the crossover. And to make room, I mounted the new caps on a new, separate board. I also replaced the original resistors.
I haven't got the batteries to try them out though!

OK, finished them up (charge-coupled crossovers, stain, five coats of tung oil finish and new binding posts) and they really sound fantastic. I'm very pleased.
(Now if only I had some dang nine-volt batteries.)
