Ultimate Yamaha Integrated?

I have a CR-1040 receiver that, with my Rectilinear IIIs, is a match made in heaven. I also want to try one of the Yamaha integrateds. Which one to look for...CA-1000, 1010, 2010?

Any of those...if you want meters, then the CA-1010 or 2010. I think, however, that the CA-1000 is the best sounding of the three. Also of note, the CA-1000 has the Variable Loudness control--the others do not.

Others will have opinions on some later models.

Whoa?

I think my CA-2010 sounds pretty sweet in Class A. You mean to tell me that there's a better sounding Yamaha integrated??

Well my Yamaha A-1 advocacy post is gone, but here's that nudie--as suggested by the now disappeared post from another:

I vote for the 2010, but I've always wanted an A1 as well. The 2010 has Alps pots on the tone controls and volume, plus a DC offset trim-pot for the DC-coupled power amp. 140wpc into 4 ohms, 120 into 8 is hard nice too.

Thank you. Are a great match. And the A-2000 drives the NS-1000s as well as anything I've heard with them. Simply sublime.
