Ultrasonic Record Cleaner

I have this exact unit. Spent a bit more on that - this price is a winner.
This unit has 6 transducers for a total of 300W US energy and works great with the 3 LP spinning device pictured a few posts above. I have also made a plywood frame holder for driving 12 LPs at a time at low speed. Works great.

One that looks just like this except it’s a 6L tank. Just big enough for 4 at a time and enough room left to provide proper cavitation.

I just ordered a 6L tank like that from the bay ($93) and the Sonic Spin Kit you referenced ($255) and the $25 drying stand.

I bought a Nitty Gritty 20 years ago that is still going strong today. Between that and now an US system, I should be able to get everything very clean.

Fortunately, all the records that I bought new back in the 70s and 80s I was anal about being careful in handling them, and keeping them in nice shape. Many of them I played only once (taped them).

I didn't buy that many records in the 90s (life interfered with record buying).

The records that I've bought in the 2000s have been mostly used, so all bets are off with those. A good US cleaning should help most of them. The Nitty Gritty will still be used sometimes though.

Now I just need to replenish my diminishing supply of Diskeeper Ultimate Audiophile Inner Sleeves....

Our company digitizes all forms of media collections for colleges, libraries, sports teams, TV stations, races... We digitize everything audio/video from wire recordings to 24-track audio. Even some race cockpit recordings. We follow internationally recognized archiving practices. Just answering the question, not trying to promote.

Fascinating. I do transfers of everything from bar mitzvahs to weddings, etc, in my little community. I wasn't aware there even was an internationally recognized archiving practice.

Sorry, not me. We do have employees who are members of ARSC. There's a whole science related to archiving, including methods for mold remediation, cleaning and baking media and storage. There's even a wet recording method for open-reel audio for tapes not helped by baking.
