I've got a recording program on a laptop that generates sine waves, which works fine when it's buffered. The last time I did something like this, I used a 16 Ohm guitar attenuator for the dummy load but I'm not sure this measurement requires the same kind of output.
I will return to this when I have a bit more time because there are a few things to cobble together. For the present, I think I will trust my ears and set the bias to 15mA on both sides. If 10 and 20mA sound good and don't produce too much heat, 15mA should be safe and should be OK for now.
