Upgrade turtable in Zenith console

I have a vintage zenith alegro console with a BSR turntable. I want to upgrade the turntable but use the same power and switch. The bsr has standard rca phono connectioions but three wires for the power. Can anyone help me identify the purpose of the three wires and how to connect to a component turntable wit standard us power cord.

Two of the wires should be unswitched AC power, and one of the three wires should send power back to the amp so it comes on when the record changer powers on.

Does the BSR use a ceramic cartridge or a MM cartridge? If it uses a ceramic, you will have to add a preamp between the new component turntable and the amp.

You might also have major feedback issues with a component turntable if it inside the console. The BSR was less prone to feedback because it was was on sprung suspension and tracked heavier.
 
I havent found a replacement turntable yet, i am hoping that whatever isolation it comes with will be enough as it will be basically sitting on top of the speakers. I will test that before i start cutting and splicing wires. I hope that the years i spent watching my father tinker with stereos will guide me. And yes i will need a preamp.
