Upgrading 7.1 Front speakers: B&W, Polk, Paradigm?

Hi guys, again trying to get some ideas on speakers.

I currently use a Yamaha RXV671 7.1 amp with two Polk M20 speakers as FR/FL. But I wanted to improve the sound and was thinking to change them to some of these options that I've been offered:

- B&W 603S2
- POLK RTA-15TL
- PARADIGM MONITOR 3 V1 (Indeed these are bookshelf boxes)

The B&W and Polk boxes are about the price. The Paradigms are way cheaper (like a third) but I guess that's for a reason of course (they are sold by another vendor also, who is away from my home).

The idea is to make a deal for the M20s. And to be honest.. While I plan to use it with the 7.1 it is probably that I eventually switch them to the stereo Yammy CR1020, so that would be nice to have the option to swap (the CR1020 are running now with a pair of CS722 by Pioneer.

hey there again. I can speak to those B&Ws. I have those in my HT for fronts with 602s for rears and the LCR600 center. Very nice for natural reproduction and paired with powerful sub like my sunfire mk ii enhances action movies. And I am using a similar Yammy RXV as you. Good choices.

Hi, great feedback! I was also more inclined to the B&W.. The brand is one of the great ones and I am tempted to test their sound. The M20 are not as baaad as they seemed to be while you use them just for HT, but for stereo they are truly awful (or that was my appreciation, maybe they didn't match the amp I used..). I will see if I can get an adequate deal.

Interesting. I read great reviews about the RTAs. The thing is the vendor is a little more reluctant about selling them out. Wish I could test them both but that seems unlikely.
