Integra ADM 2.1 have one and it is OK. Lower rated NAD and Adcom sound as nice. Had a Luxman blackface stereo receiver rated around 65 WPC feeding it.The Luxman was just as powerful when paired up to the same speakers.

I'd recommend a Hafler DH-200, best bang for the buck IMO.

Bridged amps cannot safely deal with a load of less than 8 ohms.

Amps that have 2 ohm stereo ratings can safely deal with 4 ohm bridged loads.

In this case of the OP's speakers being 12 ohms load, bridged mode is not a concern in that regard.

I have been playing around with a tube amp rated at 8 WPC and use another at 15 and can tell you watts be $ammed it is the amplifier that matters not the so called ratings..

I guess amp mfgs specify impedance limits because the totality of their customers are not top feeders like you.

I think the rarefied air & your audio circle have skewed your concept of reality. Post a poll & let's see how many amps in circulation can drive 2 ohm loads. Looking for the pie in the sky has lead you into the Chicken Little syndrome.

Why would I post a poll such as that on a forum where most of the gear of topic isn't even rated for 4 ohms.

Expand your horizons. 2 ohm capable amps are all over the place outside of vintage audio. The only thing holding you back is your own closed mind.

I had a Rotel RB-990BX which was quite nice although you'd likely have to go down a couple models to stay under budget. Hafler or Adcom are also good suggestions. Personally I would stay away from NAD, they're not bad sounding amps but the build quality of most of their stuff still gives me nightmares.

I was just about to suggest that. I bought an HCA-1000, and have been very happy with it. It sounds very powerful and very dynamic.

As for the OP, I have a pair of Soliloquy 6.3. It sounded best with both my McIntosh MC252 and Bryston 4B NRB.
