After a tutorial on XenForo software (most informative!) and a discussion on policy with the site owners, we are able to adjust some user permissions for Registered Members and Subscribers.

Edit Own Posts.
  • Registered Members - Thirty days from date of post.
  • Subscribers - No time limit
Delete Own Posts (If you delete your posts, and it is the first post in a thread you created, you will cause the whole thread to be deleted)
  • Registered Members - Not permitted
  • Subscribers - No time limit
Edit Title of Own Thread
  • Registered Members - Not permitted
  • Subscribers - No time limit
Edit Own Conversation Messages
  • Registered Members - Not permitted
  • Subscribers - Not permitted
Maximum Number of Recipients in Conversations
  • Registered Members - Three
  • Subscribers - Ten
As well, we are looking at other enhancements for Conversations, and image posting, as well as finding out the answers to some questions raised in the report form.

I just went through twenty pages of threads, clicked on 'Mark Threads Read', waited one minute, and clicked on 'New Posts'. Search returned three posts.

The functionality has been restored to former levels.

Oh, yes. Thanks, loopstick. Under everyone's avatar is displayed their postcount, and, if the profile page field contains any information, the user's location, as well.

Both are active. If you click on the postcount, the link returns the latest 500 posts by that member. (If it is a few less than 500, then there are probably a few deleted posts, or posts not visible to the member asking. i.e. Subscriber posts are not visible to Registered Members) The location is clickable, and will take you to GoogleMaps, where it will attempt to locate the given place. GoogleMaps doesn't quite know what to do with loopstick's location, and will tell you so. Mine works fine. Your results may vary.
 
For those of you who occasionally experience slow page loading times, I have learned that XF handles embedded YouTube videos a bit differently than vB. (Why not? It does everything else differently, and that is a good thing!)

XF pre-loads the video(s). With one or two, this is not a problem. Some threads have several to MANY. This can be a serious problem for older machines or some services. We have changed that so that the video will only load if you click on it. The load times should improve for those who experienced this problem.

That is great, I don't know if we where able to do that before but it's very useful. (I was going to >Profile page> Resent post> scroll to bottom> All post by) Way too many steps.
 
Turns out that the information was available in the User Card, the popup that opens when you click on a username. The postcount is a live link, there, too. Now, it will live under the avatar.

And, it's 500 posts, not 200, anymore.
 
Really thanks for the restoration of some of the functions that we use to enjoy. Now I quite commonly throw the instructions in the wind and just dig right in, but I am quite surprised that all the staff and the webmasters wouldn't have went thru the tutorial prior to changing over to a new format, just saying.
