Came across this burned resistor in a Vandersteen Model 1 crossover. Can anyone tell me the value of this resistor? It measured 12.7 ohms but since it may not be up to spec I hesitate to put a similar one in there. And the color codes seem way too high for the value. Anyone? Thanks.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd respond anyway, because I just came across the same thing in a set of Model 1's I bought. The color code is Red, Brown, Black, Gold, which works out to 21 ohms, with 5% tolerance.
I've been unable to find any 21 ohm resistors. The closest I could find was this 20 ohm 12W non-inductive one on Parts Express.

Since the speakers are so old, I'm also thinking of replacing the caps with Dayton Poly caps like these:

The PE resistor is within the 5% tolerance of the factory resistor. The 12W rating is likely a bit of overkill but if that's all you can find...
If the factory caps are film types I probably wouldn't worry about them. If they're electrolytic types I'd replace them.
