Variac powered, fused, dim bulbed, and metered, switched bench power?

Oh, trust me, I know... I have only been doing this kind of stuff for about a year and I've already worked over my Fisher X-100-B, FM-100-B tube tuner, Dual 504 turntable, my heathkit tube signal generator and VTVM, a handful of small table radios, and right now a Marantz 1060 is most of the way done, with some weird channel dropping issue that I need to button up. Then, I have a queue includes a Marantz 2330B, a 2325, an Eico ST70, ESS AMT 1a speakers, a Rega Apollo CD player, a Marshall AVT150H guitar amp, and a few vintage Eico test instruments that I saved from the trash.

Thanks for the input. I;ll post pictures when I have this thing complete.

Thought I'd add a variation on the DBT that I assembled a while ago. I added a three-way socket to a plug so I can easily choose which wattage I want to run. I also have a variety of 3-way bulbs to choose from: 30/70/100, 50/100/150 & 50/200/250. I've found that the 3-way incandescent bulbs are easier to find than single wattage bulbs.

Richard, that's actually a brilliant idea! I may have to steal it the next time I build a new power monitoring box!
 
Thanks @Binkman I've been lurking for a while, but working from home has given me more time to tinker, read, and finally start posting a bit . . .
 
Maybe something like this?
It's crazy but I love it. Plus It's a conversation piece.
I repair solid state and tube equipment, from TV's to tube radios, test gear is my favorite.
It started as, - well somewhat as a Mr. Carlson current limiting, variac, isolating clone. It is all you'll need, ever.
All made from scrap, mostly.
