The feeling's mutual, Tyler! And hey, I just might have an Atlantis Reference rack for sale soon - drop me a line at your convenience...

honest opinion

hi brian,
rec'd the MR and it helps but still have ground loop hum. i have it plugged into an isolation transformer too, so its something beyond whatever i thought. dont get me wrong though, its a very nice unit, and i will post you pos feedback. here's my questions:
is the atlantis reference as good as TOL target rack? my frinend that owns www.elusivedisc.com said he would get me a target at cost... what would you choose? i heard the atlantis is a bitch to put together? buy i value you opinion as well and if you say its as good or beter i like the looks of the Atlantis better...

thanks,
tyler

Hi Tyler,

I am sorry to hear that you have been unable to completely rid your system of the nasty hum via the use of the MR1200 and the isolation transformer. I'm assuming that you've tried floating the ground of one or more components to no avail. Have you checked to make sure that none of your interconnects or speaker cables are too close to any of your power cords?

Regarding audio racks, I like the Atlantis units a lot for the price, and have never had any trouble setting them up. However, I would find it hard to pass on getting a new TOTL Target rack at dealer cost...

Cheers,
Brian
