Very strange speaker identification

Found this thing today for $12 at a place that cleans out estates. Naturally I was intrigued as soon as I saw that it was a speaker. I bought it, and it turned out to have a single late 50s Jensen P8RX speaker in it. As for identifiers, it has a full make/model/serial plate on the back - Magnecord / Model CM 1 8S / Serial 00863 - but NOTHING comes back when searching this online. Attached a few photos, would love to know if anyone else has ever seen one of these before!

(My guess is that it would have been some form of speaker to throw up in the corner of your local store? Definitely not a pinnacle of hi-fi by any means, but for a single speaker, it sounds pretty okay!)

Its a satellite jukebox speaker, my most educated guess, possibly inspired by(or copied by) this common wurlitzer model.

Magnecord was a tape recorder company, so perhaps this was a speaker meant to use with a deck that had built-in amps. Fairly common in the '50s.

I think the Jensen PR drivers were often seen in guitar amps IIRC. Not that this was part of a guitar amp, but, the driver itself may have some value to people restoring amps. There was a 12" version that was more famous I think.
