Which would be the better made and better sounding tubes between gold lion 1970 KT88 or GEC 1970 Kt 88 tubes.

For all intensive purposes those tubes are identical. The Gold Lion was highly tested and matched version that came with a print out sheet of test results. Of course it also had the cool graphics printed on it.
