Vintage Amp with modern TT and speakers

This is likely a dumb question so pardon my ignorance, but I am looking to put together a mid-high end setup and am looking at pairing a Rega RP3 (or RP2) with a pair of KEF R300 bookshelf speakers and an integrated amp. I really love the look and sound of vintage amps and was wondering if a vintage Marantz or Sansui would degrade/limit the potential of the Rega and KEF speakers? Thanks!

I wouldn't think so. If the vintage pieces are still working properly.

Yep, that's the key.."If the vintage pieces are working properly". As we move further along in time a vintage piece of gear has increased chances of problems due to the aging of internal components.
