Nah, just tempted to get them. I have the woofers to go in them. Would need to find the tweeters, re-edge the woofers and drive a few hundred miles to get the cabs.

Too much work I think but so tempting.

I'd make sure they're actually JBL C38s before I spent too much time messing with them. Hard to tell from the pics and the grille fabric doesn't look right to me.

I have a pair of LE14C drivers and crossovers that I've been thinking about doing something with. I keep hoping I'll stumble on some interesting cabs.

I agree. I was going to go get them but his words "used to contain" told me not to waste my time. Usually if a seller says speakers need reconed or are dead. It means they need new foam. I have a feeling that the seller didn't pull the drivers to sell them. They made a horrid noise and thought they need new cones and the price was to high. So they tossed em, ask me how I know :yes:
