I think great stuff but maybe not the greatest of deals in terms of price.. I wonder if hooking up a C28 to a 2105, that doesn`t need a pre amp has any sonic advantage?

If you want to spin vinyl, you'll certainly need a preamp.

I spin vinyl on mac 6100 with no additional pre amp and it sounds great to my ears !

Bought it used back in the late 70's for $750.

That's because the 6100 is an integrated amp...as in an amp and pre-amp integrated into one box. The 2105 is not.
