What are some of the cleaning products you guys use to get older TT's looking new again? I've just gotten a dusty Yamaha 801BL w/ black plastic(?) top and wood bottom... Armor-all, Pledge?...

My favorites for cleaning are Fantastic, Windex, Orange Clean spray, and for nasty crud Sprayaway Crazy Clean. That last one is great for smoke tar as well, but it will eat some painted and lacquer lettering. I use paper towels, toothbrushes, Q-tips and a few other things to clean in the tight spots.

For shining up I like Armor-All, Scott's Liquid Gold for wood and veneer, and the stuff I like best is Jubilee Kitchen Wax. I don't think they have made that for a few years. I find that stuff, like old turntables, at estate sales and always buy it.
