Vinyl flattening services

Hi All,
This might a question that has been answered before, but are there any members who do vinyl flattening with some of these fancy options (orb or furutech) that are available these days. I've got a rare Japanese Jazz album that I just received with a pretty bad edge warp that launches the stylus out of the groove; it would be really impressive in a ski jumping scenario. This is not enough of a problem in my library to warrant new equipment so any safe options that aren't diy would be greatly helpful to me. Thanks!!

How rare are we talking? Some of these services I've seen charge more than a replacement copy of the record in question.
 
So, if perfectvinylforever ruins your record with their $2000 flattening machine, they will refund your $12.

Yeah, I am ruling out diy due to a question of risk and I don't really want to pony up for a new one plus those killer shipping costs from Japan (usually, at least). If there was a more tried and true method to oven flattening, I might consider it but I've read that method sometimes works and sometimes makes things worse. From my understanding about vinyl flattener machines, heating is localized to the center and edges with minimal heating applied to the grooves.
 
I am offering a vinyl fattening service. I take your wimpy, measly 90g vinyl LPs, and feed them plastic micro beads until they swell up to 180g or extra deluxe 200g.

If you’re sending it to them it’s pretty worthless already. Did you just go to their site to try and find a negative? Any reason to think they would ruin a record?

So is it $12 or $17 a record?

I guess I'm just more of a DIY'er myself.

Got it. So the thread title should have let you know that this wasn’t really of interest to you then.
 
Just heard back from the proprietor of perfect vinyl forever. He said they're set up for bulk orders only. So you got to get at least 16 records cleaned and any flattening an additional $12. A 16-record cleaning runs anywhere from $120-$180. So unless anyone knows of another place, DIY is back on the table!

I'm interested in anything record related.
It's more like Perfectvinylforever don't sound very confident in the description of their service.
Perhaps I'm being too skeptical but there's an awful lot of audio BS out there.

I used Marble tile and added weight .

Oven at 135° . I placed the set up in the oven and turned it on and once it reached 135° i maintained it there for 30 minutes . The I tun oven off and leave the set up
there till it cools to the touch.

Worked well enough for me to play record with out massive warp or skipping. Successful on three records out of three I tried so far.
