I think it was a temporary problem that affected members across most regions worldwide. Seems to be sorted. Try again.I've had an account at vinylengine.com for at least 10 years. They recently moved to passwordless login where you enter your email address and they email you a temproary login code and I have logged in that way a few times, but today I'm getting an error "Sorry, but there was an error sending the email, SMTP Error: Could not authenticate." Is anyone else having this problem. There is a contact page for problems logging in but there is a message there "Please Note Due to work commitments, the contact form is closed until Sunday 13th September"
The laptop just turned the age to be allowed to drink legally (it's 18 here). Running Windows 10 Pro and Google Chrome. The age isn't the problem. How old is your computer? I'm working with a 17 year old iMac. Thing are different with vintage.
Yes, and the verification/authentication worked fine, if I have logged out...but only with one account/profile.It makes you authenticate through email then keeps you logged in.
If I clean (Revo Uninstaller) Google cookies, it affects all Google accounts/profiles, no? Well, one account has let me log in, the other (which worked fine before) not.I also had the problem with VE, 'cause the required cookie for remembering me was gone - whereas users, who haven't logged out or/and deleted their cookies, weren't affected.
It now works with different accounts and/or browsers (Google Chrome, Opera and Microsoft Edge tested) just fine. Don't know about IPs yet. That being said, JaS has returned in the meantime and already fixed the problem this afternoon (GMT), so the email-based login is working again.
