Ways to safely transport speakers?

Another vote for wrapping them in Harbor Freight moving blankets, then securing the blankets with duck tape. Some cheap, Walmart pillows also might come in handy to use as 'bumpers', in case you need to brake/swerve suddenly.

I had speakers shipped to me once
They used peanuts, but didn't plug the port. Took a while to get them all out.

You can buy inexpensive moving blankets from Harbor Freight if you have one close by.
