Dark mode on the newest Xenforo software is certainly possible...might require a plugin to make it happen though.

it inverts the screen, more or less, so that the wind is black and the text is white. It saves energy if browsing on a phone and is said to reduce eye fatigue

We even have dark mode selected on the VW Taos screen. Would be nice to have it here.

There are a lot of plugins for browsers that turn web pages into dark mode. They can be hit and miss with some website though and I find the best application of dark mode is when it is made an option from the website itself.

I used to like the Word Perfect scheme of white text on a deep blue screen - very nice on the eyes ...

I use an extension for Firefox called Dark Reader to make websites appear in dark mode. It is flexible and can allow it to be turned on, or off, for individual websites so I can turn it off for sites that offer a dark option. Dark Reader works very well on Audiokarma and most other websites. This extension is also available for Chrome, Safari and Edge.

Thanks OldJBL, much appreciated. Dark Reader worked out of the box, didn't need to fiddle around with any settings, after installing it instantly audiokarma's theme was switched to dark-mode and everything seems to be perfectly usable still.

Agreed, I've tried a couple and they only work for a few minutes on AK, before they jack up the page (the ones I tried anyway).
