We should have a standing, yearly request for dark mode

I did load dark reader and it does seem to work just fine, thanks for that.

Woah,... all of a sudden, i've gone dark. interesting.

And, just like that,.... [charlie browns teacher squawking horns voice = on] Sarge, she who must be obeyed, hated it. She was quite vocal in complaining.

now I need to find a squawking horns voice filter.

I'm a bit late to the party, but if an extra vote counts for anything, I'd favor a native option for dark mode viewing here. Sure, the browser plugins work, but I have a long standing aversion to adding a lot of extra fluff to my mobile browser, and try to run a very tight build in general on my phone (yeah, I know, anal-retentive has a hyphen in it).

I certainly understand waiting to deploy it until after the search feature issue is fully resolved. That is a much higher priority from a usability standpoint.

BTW, mucho thanks to @Grumpy for all his efforts in making this joint possible.

He missed a space. He meant "I invoke". I think.

That explains it. I encounter so much in the way of acronyms and jargon which are unfamiliar to me that I often overlook mistakes that may be obvious to others. Plus I thought the large "I" in invoke was an small "L".

I used to think I had a wider than average vocabulary, but lately it seems as though there's a company the US where half the workers do nothing but sit around making up new words. The other half only make up new definitions for old words. I wish that company would go out of business.

Agree with others in this thread....please add dark mode. Dark mode would be especially appreciated with the latest software upgrade, which is very bright on my 23" monitor.

I do the vast majority of my viewing of AK at night. There may be others like me.

FYI to anyone who may not be familiar with dark mode, DIYaudio.com has it available if you want to check it out. I do not know if dark mode is the default at DIYaudio. You may have to choose dark mode in your user settings there. In any case, it is what I use on that site and it really reduces eye strain IMO.
