Hey everyone, I have a Kenwood KR-4070 that I've used for about two years now with no problems but recently I noticed that the right channel is very quiet, but only while running through either the Aux or Tape inputs. The Phono input works flawlessly and has great sound through both L/R channels.
I tried switching between A and B speakers and the same issue is present in both. Just to make sure it's not the speakers, I swapped them and it still only applies to the speaker that's connected to the R channel.
I can get the sound to even out if I turn the balance knob to about 90% toward the R channel. When I run off of the Phono input, I put it back to 0 and it sounds great.
I did download the schematic diagram, but I'm struggling to follow the path on how the Aux/Tape input are similar or different to the Phono input.
Now I'm pretty stuck and am hoping someone else may have some advice. Thanks everyone!
