Completed eBay sales.. I don't know how it relates to the 308a. Also, if its highly desirable just list it on eBay as an auction..

Do you find any listings at the tube dealers? That may give a clue.

If you can't find any for sale, you might offer to sell them to an established tube dealer and see what they offer. That's probably half what they would try to sell them for.

Just for kicks I checked 5 different tube dealers I've had bookmarked for ages and none of them had it listed with a price. One was a 'call for prices' on all WE tubes, the others just didn't list it at all. So it sounds like a pretty rare tube.

It depends on a few factors mainly age if yours is the older engraved base style tubes they will go for a premium NOS WE 300B's can go for between 1k-5k each but likely an average of 2k each for new sealed vintage tubes.

What Snow said... If these are really NOS they are worth what he states. Have them checked on a good tube tester to show NOS readings from your test set.

It appears to be very rare from what I’ve seen on the internet.

These aren't 300B though guys, they are 308 B. Apparently still quite valuable but much less pricing info available.

If you were to auction them, you'd want to be very careful how you write your listing to make sure they are exposed to the high end buyers. And be prepared to ship to Asia.

Thanks. I only found one on line. It was a Japanese auction and the starting bid was $4800.00 USD. I’ll keep looking.
Oops I thought you meant 300B no idea on the value of a 308B tube but rare and certainly worth investigating value. If worst comes to worst you can always do a BIN auction for a crazy price with OBO option this way you can field offers to get a feel for value.

Regards Snow

If these are truly worth 5-10K I would consider going to an auction house, or selling them directly to a tube dealer. I just wouldn't risk it on eBay.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get these tested in Michigan? Also, what does NOS mean? Thanks to everyone who is taking the time to comment.
These tubes belonged to my father and were given to me when he passed. I’m hoping to sell them and give the money to my 91 year old Mom.

Depends on where you are in Michigan. Most of the larger cities will have a shop that can test them..

Or, there are some tubehead AKers in Michigan, I'm sure.

I'd be triple checking the settings over their shoulder no matter who's testing them. Carry them in an outer box. Blankets on the floor in case something gets dropped. No loud noises. Yikes.

These are giant transmitter tubes and I don't know who will be able to test them. Maybe some of the old WE testers can do it, but I don't know for sure.

Well that's a good point. I assume the plate voltage is higher than a typical tester, and the pin base is probably huge, and the filament requires 30A of power or some such.
