I used good old contact cement. Comes in a brown glass bottle with a brush built into the cap. I found it at Home Depot. It worked great.

Absolutely and sticks to aluminum quite well.I used good old contact cement. Comes in a brown glass bottle with a brush built into the cap. I found it at Home Depot. It worked great.
It does stick to aluminum well for sure. The drying time is a bit slow though.Absolutely and sticks to aluminum quite well.Just be sure to let it fully cure for 24 hours before touching it.
I have this one in my basket of "tube" chemicals. It stays flexible and is also great on regluing the heavy paper insulators on bottom covers and some shields. Slowwwwww curing though.I've really liked using this E6000 glue. It says for use on "metal" so maybe aluminum? It really grabs and had a nice consistency. Seems very strong. I used it to glue dial glass into a plastic frame and it was fantastic for that.

I have some of that, and the Surebond 9001 that works excellent on speaker surrounds to frame and paper cone to surround. Bonds good on steel, painted steel, and aluminum speaker frames. Holds button and knob caps on just dandy too. I have the contact cement mentioned above for the face plate grommets to more closely match the original brown-ish glue, in case anybody is looking.I've really liked using this E6000 glue.
