What Ak has meant to me !!!!!!!

This is the only forum that I am a member of...I don't really know many people here, and I always ask pretty newbie questions, but to the OP's point, advice is given freely and knowledgably.

Pffffft ! I don't like nobody, an' I don't want nobody t'like me...So there ! (Insert Bronx Cheer here)

Some of you folks are Audio Wizards

The knowledge base of some of you veterans, lets just say " AMAZING " I learn so much each time i drop in, i can appreciate the constructive criticism and not belittlling sarcasm from our "Audio Elders" Thank You!!:thmbsp:

Music is somewhat of a universal language and a great common bond. Reproducing that music through our beloved equipment is part art, part science and a great deal of fun. For me, this place is both a resource and a refuge. Just finding my manuals here was a huge help and I appreciate it greatly.

Pulled the wool over his eyes, eh?

Hehehe, yeah! {Is there an emoticon for a wink? :D}

It means different things to different people, but the real key is it means a LOT to all of us.

Amen.

Pffffft ! I don't like nobody, an' I don't want nobody t'like me...So there ! (Insert Bronx Cheer here)

And this from the guy who has more posts than anyone else on AK...
:thmbsp: :D

Yeah, but it'll slip off eventually  Then the real fun begins :D

Sssshhhh.... let him learn the hard way, like the rest of us! :D

I think most people, at least to an extent, will rise or fall in accordance with the enviroment. [Of course, a cruder way to put it might be to say that we are all just sheep... :D]
The atmosphere on AK is consistently friendly, helpful, respectful and a cut above the petty stuff that infests much of the web. The moderators play no small role in keeping it that way, but it is the members themselves who are responsible for most of this. Who wants to muck up a good thing? Like attracts like, birds of a feather and all that stuff also applies. Maybe music plays a role here, too. Whatever it is, AK remains pretty much the nicest, most interesting and helpful "home" on the web, for many of us. One can even make REAL --real-world-- friends here, too!

A.K. is like a brotherhood, i.e. we are all brothers in search of the holy grail of nirvana in musical perfection. :music:
Plus it's a great place to share and learn things audio and non-audio related. :thmbsp:
Hell, this place is more entertaining then TV!

All in all this place is like a family, inspite of all the differences, we still care about one another in some way. I have learned a great deal & also tried to give back.

AudioKarma, though is just a forum, but the special people makes it grand.
