Well...I didn't know the speakers in the picture, but I didn't post it calling them CLS 215. I posted a link to the CLS 215, clearly quite different, which I why I questioned the picture.

Dunno...prolly won't ever find out. I'm using this setup (in a different location) for my "loud" system now.
The D-9s have been gathering dust in my back room ever since my previous GF and I went our separate ways a few years back. They had been on semi-permanent loan to her. I let her keep the Sony receiver and recommended her a decent-sounding set of Athena speakers, but the Cerwins came home...

What model are those dual JBL 18"s? I think I've seen those in a catalog (maybe an old 'SAM ASH') before. Can't remember the specs, though.

Yes, it was a temporary setup for about a month or so until I needed/wanted the space back and to watch my TV again. But, it's all mine and fully in my possession.
The speakers in background are my normal stereo/HT speakers (Paradigm Studio 100s with a Paradigm Servo 15 sub hiding on the left in the corner).
The stuff in the foreground is all out in my garage now, but I keep all the amps in the house when I'm not using them. The JBL subs are SR4719X...each powered by its own Crown CE4000 (2,800w bridged @ 4 ohms or 3,600w if I plug the amps into 220).
My next project is an experiment on the Yamahas to convert them to (active) bi-amp.
The Cerwins were probably the reason I bought the pro audio stuff. I remember the power and punch from the D-9s and decided to go for even more.

That's why I run two pairs and the 18" Strokers. I'm always on the lookout for other interesting and very different CV 15" models to run with what I already have. I may sell (or give to my niece) the CS-1400 amp, and get a pair of CS-3000s, to run 4 sets of 15"s. Sounds like fun!

I prefer the older C-v's like my 417r's from 1978. Nice MF-61 6 1/2" mid with a 4 lb. magnet system.

My fav's are the D-9's. I have a matched set for HT (D-9's,D-7's for rear
and a D-3 for center) use but since I have a setup my Altec's in the Basement HT and the Belle Klipsch's upstairs I am just storing them.

I think with CV's the volume will go to 11. Always wanted a pair, still do.

The original (ca 1969+) Infinity Servo-Statik subwoofer was a C-V woofer with an LWE motional feedback coil wound in it.
That gets my vote!

I can see it now..... How will you fit those D-9's in the hatch of that Vega? Some people get rid of their back seat to put in wheel wells, you'll get rid of your wheel wells to put in speakers.
