What are the best speakers???

In my opinion, I would get those Klipsch Heresys. At that price ($375) and if they are in "mint" condition, that would be reasonable. They would also, I believe, match up well with your KG-4s. I've owned both models and was very happy with both. I currently have my Heresys paired with my Klipsch KSB 3.1 bookshelfs, and just love the sound. Good luck!

I also have an old set of JBL L36 10" 3-Way. Needs woofer foam, and grille cloth. Specs on these, anyone? How good are they? Worth keeping or better to sell?

I'm about to recap mine. Definitely worth the effort and easy to sell if you do not like them.

Actually my system for 5.1 I only use for home theater. Every system I have to listen to music is 2 channel. Although the only 5.1 system that i could listen to music and enjoy had all magnepan speakers on with a HSU sub. sounded very nice.
That is only my opinion. Good sounding music is one's perception of good sounding music. We all have different tastes. 20 years ago a guy was looking at my rig and said nice but I can get the same thing out of a pocket radio. I said then you found your stereo.

Anyone who thinks they can answer this is wrong, sorry but its really up to you and your own ears. There are just some things nobody can decide for you other than advice on what is most efficient, lowest bass and widest sweetspot but opinions mean nothing and trust in your own ears is your only option.
I would sy dump some of those speakers and make your choice easy as there is no point in owning so many speakers when only 1 or 2 are really worth keeping, but thats just me as I prefer 1 or 2 great items vs a dozen paper weights.

Get some dcm time frame 600 vintage speakers.
They are inexpensive and massively over looked.
They are extremely nice sounding speakers.
Just saying, I've had three pair at one time I thought they were so good.
