A version of the Monte Carlo's, which look just like my unknowns... Do those have a silver paper cone tweeter in them? Or, on the other hand, is that a single full range driver?

They are Super Midgets with a single 4" driver that is usually falling apart by now. Great sounding speaker if the drivers are still intact. I'd check out the drivers before selling them.

what fraziers are these?

Thanks ejfud for the information. Since I live in the Dallas metroplex Frazier speakers are not too hard do find. I just love their build quality and looks. Sounds are better than average to me. These have served me well over the years for what they are. I know own a pair of 7s ( a truly great speaker) Anyway these do not say what model and I have always wondered. Thanks again.

More Fraziers - Need ID

Guessing that these are some iteration of the Monte Carlo, primarily due to the size of the cab and that they have an 8" woofer and a 2-3" tweeter. The cabinets have a slightly bullnosed edge plus a grill cloth that I haven't seen in other pictures of the MC series.

I went to listen to them yesterday and was quite disappointed - they sounded pretty bad - more like a distorting transistor radio. Couldn't tell if the woofers needed re-foaming, as the grills didn't come off. The seller did take the back off one speaker but it was not possible to see the surround. One good badge of the two.

Obvious that the cap needed to be replaced, but AFAIK that usually affects just the top end.

If these were thrift store prices I might have bought them, but at the asking price it seemed a little risky.

Hopefully someone knows what model these are and if they are worth buying.
