Very nice speakers indeed , if you get them you wont be disappointed .
My 2 set's came to me with toasted tweeters , replaced them with Peerless silk dome's , took them up a notch I do believe.

Or Optimus 5B's, or Optimus 1B's depending on the cabinet size. The 5B's have a little better low end compared to the non B model, different woofer. If they are 1B's, they sound good also, but have a smaller 10" woofer.

I think , eyeing them up next to the baseboard molding , their 5's or 5b's .

They do look larger from the picture than the 1B's. I had a pair of 1B's I bought new when they first came out. I used them for about ten years. I also have a pair of the smaller 2B's. I keep looking locally for a pair of 5B's or Nova 8B's. Both are the same speaker. Just the cosmetics are different. I want to try the crossover mod with them.

If I can score these i may just use em while and proceed with speaker Dave's AR4x crossover mod. (On my ARs, different issue on another thread)

If they are the "B" version you can do the mod. The non B versions use a different woofer and tweeter.
