Ten Years After "A Space in Time". Just finished putting tweeters in my ADS L620. After that Supertramp "Breakfast in America". I think I'm going to loosen these woofers up a little during the day tomorrow- they need a little more "goose" to get them moving than the Altecs.

"Begin the Beguine" by Cole Porter, arranged by Alan Shulman and sung by Risë Stevens, who left us only a month ago, only three months short of her own centenary. Columbia M-730, a 78rpm album that has never been reissued in LP or CD or download.

It's playing on my Garrard A70 record changer with Stanton 500 and D5127 stylus, a setup which I maintain specifically for playing 78s.

Just finished Limp Bizkit's "Significant Other" (1999 US Interscope double-LP - Masterdisk pressing).

Jimi Hendrix - "Axis: Bold As Love" US Reprise 1st pressing stereo LP

So-much better to me than the mono version. The Pickering really-likes the '60's vinyl, so I put that back on and re-balanced and reset everything (Track-force @ 3.75g since I have the brush... Antiskate at 1.5... The 1019 doesn't need much of it).

Just set up my Denon DP-30L II for the first time on Friday. (The TT was a very generous gift from a customer:yes:) Set it up with the AT440MLa. VTF at 1.4g. (recommended VTF) My first low mass tone arm TT. I decided for the first time to use an alignment scale (printed from a conradh website, I think) to properly adjust the cartridge in the headshell. Well, um...

Played America: America. It's one of my choices when I first setup a new-to-me TT. Record sounds the best of heard it, yet. I guess I just now achieved the next level on my audio journey. Makes me glad.

Sorry, I should know better than to post when I have a buzz. When people say "80s music", I think of 80s pop (Madonna, Jacko, Men w/o Hats, etc.) As hard as it is not to respond like that, I usually manage. I'll try not to post in music threads next time I drink steel reserve.
