The laws of diminishing returns. How much better is it for the $$$ spent.Know your snake oil, Lou. If you call them unbalanced interconnects you can charge twice as much.
I like to take the middle ground on these things. A few extra bucks spent most likely yields a noticeable result in most instances. After that, not so much...unless you're capable of spending lots more $$$$. Is a decent speaker wire better than a coat hanger, Yes!
How much better a $1,000 speaker cable is than a decent cable seems questionable. How discerning an ear does one person have to differentiate? To each his own, but hmmm...

From personal experience I can say with no hesitation that all cables do not sound alike. If your speakers sound too bright I would recommend top of the line MONSTER interconnects, which definitely warm up the sound. I'm presently using TRIBUTARIES, which I paid @ $ 150.00 for a 2 meter pair about 10 years ago. They were completely different sounding than the equally priced MONSTERS.

Actually, I don't remember how much it was at the time. It was well over 20 yrs ago. May have been 12 cents, but the point remains.

This one fits the criteria for that "I Think I'm The Only One Here Who Owns This" thing we were doing a couple of weeks ago. I've never understood why nobody post them but me. Not even @heavyrock, which I find surprising..
They were kind of caught in the vice between the end of metal's glory years in the early 90's and the beginnings of grunge. The music reflects that period with a healthy dose of punk in the mix as well.
Their debut album here is generally considered to be their best effort. The singer spent several years fronting doom metal hero's Trouble.
Warrior Soul - Last Decade Dead Century
1990 DGC 9 24285-2
They were kind of caught in the vice between the end of metal's glory years in the early 90's and the beginnings of grunge. The music reflects that period with a healthy dose of punk in the mix as well.

Back in the 80s, I bought a set of Gold-Endz rca cables for my cassette deck. I didn't then, nor can I now, hear any difference. And with the current state of my hearing, I don't believe I ever will. I did purchase a heavier lamp cord to counter the effects of distance, just in case I had to go 50 ft. But I doubt that will ever happen again.
