180g Glow in the Dark LP, SQ is really crappy, I wonder if the standard black vinyl sounds better. I picked this up for one track, When the party’s over. I don’t think she’s what folks make her out to be, her voice is OK but it’s nothing to write home about, and she uses a synthesizer...

This live cover is really good, the rest of this album is **** on vinyl... sorry it just is... the SQ is crappy.

Nothing wrong with a honest review.
Saves the next person some cash.

Now playing the 1966 German EMI/Electrola recording of Franz Schubert's Winterreise Lieder cycle. This is Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, baritone, with piano accompaniment by Gerald Moore. My set is an original German EMI/Electrola Gold Label Stereo pressing. It is in near mint condition with a VG Box. I am playing it on my Technics SL-1500 direct drive turntable with my Pickering XV 15/400 cartridge with Stanton D6800EL stylus, the Dynaco A 25 loudspeakers are being driven by a Luxman R 1040 receiver (which I am repairing). A classic recording even today.

Yea I couldn’t get through the whole album... had to switch albums as it’s just that bad of a pressing. Sounds super stuffy and just lacks any detail. I have a feeling it’s due to the fact that it’s a glow in the dark LP, the vinyl even feels rough to the touch. Just not well pressed at all.

I picked this up just before we got locked down in the middle of December. Not sure why i grabbed it but it looked interesting. I was advised by the sales girl that it is a bit of a challenging listen.
For the $6 i spent on it, i have nothing to lose (Time Life music 4 record set w/booklet!).
Going to run it through the cleaner before it hits the table...definitely not tonight.
Any thoughts from those with knowledge of this man?

Stealers Wheel ‎– Stealers Wheel

"As the years have passed, Stealers Wheel has become sort of a cult band. There are always fans who love to dig deep into bands that didn’t last too long but left a mark on Rock and Roll history.
Stealers Wheel juxtaposes sonic elements as other pop albums juxtapose musical styles; call it aural eclecticism.
The mixing and matching of sounds and effects is often startlingly dramatic, but it never seems hokey or contrived"
