What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

View attachment 2094545
I picked this up just before we got locked down in the middle of December. Not sure why i grabbed it but it looked interesting. I was advised by the sales girl that it is a bit of a challenging listen.
For the $6 i spent on it, i have nothing to lose (Time Life music 4 record set w/booklet!).
Going to run it through the cleaner before it hits the table...definitely not tonight.
Any thoughts from those with knowledge of this man?

Those Time Life box sets have good sound quality to them. Not a classical expert, but I really enjoy that music genre. Look for classical albums conducted by Herbert von Karajan, he's the best conductor, IMO.

Yea I couldn’t get through the whole album... had to switch albums as it’s just that bad of a pressing. Sounds super stuffy and just lacks any detail. I have a feeling it’s due to the fact that it’s a glow in the dark LP, the vinyl even feels rough to the touch. Just not well pressed at all.

I hear ya,
I had a Blues Artist LP given to me from a friend, I wanted to like it.
But it was so bad sounding, it went upstairs to the go away pile real quick.

Feeling rather somber these days. This suits the bill.

Hang on to your hat! Stravinsky is one of the most exciting composers of his time. I would imagine the set contains The Firebird and The Rite of Spring. Possibly also Petrushka. I'd start there. Then The Firebird. Save The Rite of Spring for when you have a good taste for his music. If you decide it isn't for you, I will gladly pay the $6 plus shipping. It will fill a hole nicely.

Yes it is.
I have modified it to take a 5532 output IC instead of the stock one, beefed-up the power supply, and also aligned it. With a rooftop antenna, it pulls in everything I want and more.

Still want to find a clean KT-8300 or L-02T one day.

Edit, I forgot to mention the model number! It is a KT-7500.

Nice
