What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Walk in the park for this surgeon. :p

Listening to the Rush compilation - The Spirit of Radio.
On the song, “Closer to the Heart.” Wife in next room calls out, “I never noticed those bells before. They sound like Christmas.”

When you have this setup (thanks to @painttoad), everyday is Christmas.

Worth it just for RIDERS ON THE STORM. A tune I carry with me always

Yes it is . . I have a story for that song and it takes me back to the scene every-time I here it .

1981 ish a local cover band that was the HOT band then , good friends of ours. They had a big show out at the county fairgrounds , grandstand with a horse race track , big stage. We camped out as did a bunch of people , sold over 4200 tickets , partied late after the bands were done, pretty good time , and a girl that had played coy with me for a couple months picked that evening to make her move , so ya I had a pretty good time.

The next day the band was loading out , they had camped in a livestock barn , so my room mate and I pulled in the barn so we could knock off the morning edge with them , well during that time a big thunderstorm rolled in , my room mate had his car stereo jamming in the barn, happened to be playing his Doors tape , that storm let loose raining hard on the metal roof as Riders on The Storm was coming up on the tape , it was pretty cool moment.

Now there’s a memory to carry you to old age.

Cool... lessee, what bikes have I had? I started after college when I was making money- I believe it was the Honda 175 enduro (forgot the model #), then a Honda CX500 opposed twin, water-cooled V-twin (cool bike!), then a Yamaha TT500 enduro (a brutally powerful dirt bike!), then a Yamaha Seca 650, followed by a Yamaha Seca 750 a year later... it was the Seca 750 I wrecked... :(
The Maxim n Seca 650s shared the same engine with different tuning. In the mid 80s the Japanese bike companies introduced the 700cc club due to Tariffs imposed on imported bikes over 701 cc to keep Harley Davidson as the number 1 Manufacturer of Bikes over 750 cc in the U.S.

ebay strikes again.

i paid more than i wanted for this eq BUT it is clean. it matches my amp AND it has the front panel tape loop cover. there were 4 on ebay. 2 out of the country. one broken and this is the only one that had that cover. i had to buy it....right?
