I have a Target walking distance from me , I went there a few months back looking for Blu-rays , they had got rid of that whole section , no more video's or CD's , just LP's now.

Just an FYI. I upgraded to the GTX 4080 card a couple of years ago. That is the coolest (temp-wise) card I've ever owned. It hovers at around 42-45ºC even on the most intense online video games. My old 3080 would go well over 70°C during long multiplayer dungeon runs.

I have a 1 kW ASUS power supply.

I mentioned to my record store that they must move a lot of classic rock , he said not near as much as late 80's early 90's and especially hair bands , said he can't get enough of it , sells as fast as he can put it out at $25 ~ $50 a piece some for even more.

Gotta wonder if not as many albums from the mid 80's and 90's were sold vs CD's , certainly no where near the amount of albums sold in the 70's and early 80's.

i'm still runnin my corsair 1kw supply in this thing.

i remember getting on corsair chat and this jerkass started arguing with me about why my fan in my brand new psu wasn't running. this guy was some kind of power supply guru too. he is still around but his name escapes me.

it was a bad fan from the factory. :rolleyes:

i replaced the fan and bypassed the bullshit thermal management the psu had built in and it's not given me another problem in 10 years. (it will probablyt blow up tomorrow)
 
Its rare I find hair, metal, hard rock music around here.
My stuff is used free donated music. LPs and CDs.
Recently lots of jazz, country, folk, oldies.
My collection of classical and opera albums are near maxed out.
Once I found a pile of hard core, acid, metal, punk CDs in a folder. I was stoked!
I do still buy new releases on vinyl.

That said... I've gotten a bit mellow. :)

just grabbed the euro sm and it may not have dial lights but it does have a 6 v 65ma pointer lamp. hmmmmm:idea: i know i ain't got none of those. wonder if i can even find them. circuit wise, an led would be simple enough but i don't know if the pointer will agree with me.

no removeable bottom so gonna be messin with the dial cord. yay.

gonna smoke up and think about how i wanna go at this thing. i can solder a wire across the switch and put it with the amp for now. the caps aren't going to kill it overnight but that damn pointer lamp, err lack of pointer lamp will drive me nuts

I used to have a 12-inch Vornado shop fan blowing right onto the Big Mother 3080 board. It would get so hot that the room A/C would always be on.

With the 4080, no more. Much small footprint, too!

Pretty sure the CD thing was in full bloom around then....and vinyl was on its way out....so less is now available on vinyl.

i had an fx9590 for a very short time and at idle i could feel HOT air on my leg from the radiator a foot away.

that had to be the worst cpu in history. definitely the biggest sham. i got 60ish bux out of the class action against amd for advertising it as a 8 core when it was in reality 4 cores split in half. 8 half cores was what i remember.
 
This concert was done as an audition tape for the Boston Berklee school of music 5 week summer course that the sisters would be attending but the drummer and the bassist were too young and needed to demonstrate that they were proficient on their instruments, the minimum age is 15 only the oldest met the age requirement. The money required for the course was donated by Ellen DeGeneres and target and by a fund raiser. And was presented to them at the Ellen show. (video available) Ellen had invited them after seeing their Enter Sandman You Tube video. This performance was at their school Liceo de Monterrey.
The video is a little long but worth the watch. The concert was at their school Liceo de Monterrey in 2015.
They attended the Berklee course and Dave Ellefson bassist of Megadeth was one of their instructors.
Here they were 10, 13, 15 Most of the songs were original compositions by them. They played Hysteria by Muse and Crazy train by Ozzy. Hope you like it and enjoy it.
