shibata has been ordered. night guys

People forget that the room in which your system is in and the placement of speakers is way more important for great sound than the speakers and components. A well known acoustic engineer once told me that a pair of $50,000 speakers in a room not treated and positioned wrong will sound poorly .Nice! I recently got the 'big room' for my listening lair. It is really nice to have the space for the speakers to breathe and still be able to have room to store LPs.
Morning folksfeels good to sleep in. first cup of coffee... im lazy so the radio is going on for now. classics off 96.5 WKLH

good morning Robert
I hope all is well...I saw them live several times. Just three guys and but a HUGE HUGE sound. Watching Dana Colley play two tenor saxophones at once was something else. They were Joe Strummer's favorite band.
That’s super nice Jim. If you need more space in the future IKEA has some nice racks and shelves that don’t break the bank. Real woodso I always wanted a nice album rack that turns and stores a bunch of albums but didn't want to spend 1200 and up to get one. one came up close to me and they delivered for free ? When I lived in Hawaii spam is the local hamburger pretty much.Fried spam rocks !!!
Another song that was owned by Frankie Laine.I did it!!!! Moscode 600 repaired. It was never going to be as easy as cleaning the sockets and adding new thermal paste (though I did those things). When testing votlages I found out the B+ was being dragged down by more than 100v. Turns out it was a zener that was under spec’d to start (wrong value, maybe from the factory) and then just gave up. After that of course one of the others died. This is a notoriously cheap ass board; you can lift a trace by looking at it wrong. Which I did.
For someone like @painttoad thats all in a days work but I’m just learning this stuff so am quite happy right now. Listening to it as I type.

Give it a shot Jim. If a NAK RX 303 can be done by an all thumbs knucklehead like me, Anything is possible lolso the 60 some dollars I spent on the Akai f33 was a waste. transport needs to come all the way out. im sure its not worth the money so lesson learned![]()
I think if people saw the slaughterhouse in action spam wouldn't be so bad !!!When I lived in Hawaii spam is the local hamburger pretty much.

Absosmurfly. I have now dialed in my amplification (for the moment). Next is room treatment. I face a couple of huge picture windows and I don't want to cover them, but I definitely need some dispersion there. My plan is to run a french cleat across the top of the window frame so I can easily hang the panels for critical listening and take them off for everyday.People forget that the room in which your system is in and the placement of speakers is way more important for great sound than the speakers and components.
